By the end of 2012 Chatterbox will have been up and running for fourteen years, however, its beginnings were a lot humbler than today’s product! Chatterbox was originally launched as a community newspaper for the Styvechale, Cheylesmore, Finham and Green Lane areas of Coventry but after two years it became evident that the publication was being read and sought after by people living in far wider areas of the City. Taking this into consideration the editorial content was changed to be of more general interest so that anyone reading Chatterbox could enjoy it regardless of where they lived. This format helped improve the magazine and is still used today as the general ethos.
Chatterbox has currently more than 30,000 readers and we have over 200 established, prime, high profile pick up points including hotels, restaurants, pubs, retail outlets, newsagents, bookstores, churches, community centres, libraries and networking groups, strategically located throughout the Coventry and surrounding area. Publications are usually available from the first week of each edition: December/January, February/March, April/May, June/July, August/September, October/November. We do not push the magazine through doors; we make sure the people who really want to read Chatterbox can go and get their copy (always subject to availability, as they go like hot cakes!) Many readers share their copy with as many as three or four other members of the family or friends. We are also told by many readers that it is sent all around the country and even the world! We now also offer a subscription service so that obtaining a copy is guaranteed!
Chatterbox has generated a very strong following of regular readers, however, we are attracting new readers every single edition.
